If your dog is in an area without 4G/3G coverage, Tractive cannot send the position to your phone. It stores locally and syncs when coverage returns. For hunting in hills without signal, this can be critical.
Uses VHF radio to communicate directly with the hunter's handset. As long as the dog is within range (up to 14 km in open field), the handset shows the position even with no mobile signal anywhere in the area.
